This letter is to confirm that all Atmel Pb-Free / Green leadframe packages are "backwards compatible" with standard Sn-Pb solder paste. Evidence of backwards compatibility is based on multiple qualification test lots going back more than 2 years on our Pb-Free / Green parts as well as extensive data from our assembly subcontractors.

Please note that Atmel Pb-Free / Green Ball Grid Array (BGA) packages may not necessarily be backwards compatible.
